Default Re: C24 D Sub Cables Question

Peter

I got the control 24 Cable kit from Digi
for about $700 (WLA Music) and I love the
cables...a no brainer hook up with color-coded snakes clearly labeled and extremely high quality design and construction...withv every output channel provided...dont bother with doing it yourself...It will never turn out this clean

and easy

Default C24 D Sub Cables Question

Hey Friends,

Just got the C24 and bought a bunch of D sub cables from different sources. I've got a question 'cuz 2 of the snakes aren't working.

Here is the problem:

I'm connecting the d sub to the C24 Monitors out connector. This particular snake has the male TRS connectors on the other end and I'm plugging them into my patch bay. The snake branches off into individual connectors and instead of the cables being labeled;

1
2
3,
etc.

cable one is labeled like this:

1 & 2 in

cable 2

3 & 4 in

all the way to cable 5 like this:

1 & 2 out

cable

3 & 4 out,

etc.

So I plugged cables 1 and 2 into the bay and connected my speakers and NOTHING.

I know it's the cables because I tried some other d subs that had the normal 1-8 on the individual cables and everything worked..

Does anyone know what's up with these cables?

Am I going to need to get into the D sub connection and rewire?

thanks in advance for any help....
best, Peter
