I have gotten a bunch of free waves plugins over the last few years. Never paid a cent for them... Beats a kick in the nuts, but I pass no judgement if you prefer a hefty boot in the ol' swing bag.
You don't lose the ability to use the plugins like happens with Avid. You lose the ability to update (if necessary) the plugins that requires a whole Waveshell number upgrade.

Now I finally understand the WUP thing!

So, what do you guys think it's gonna be? What free plugin do you guys want/need? I need a virtual tape machine but I know it's gonna be the bass rider

I'd really like a C6 but it'll probably be the King's Microphones

Unless they actually take something away from you, I would suggest that you don't actually lose anything at all. Waves weren't even the ones that killed TDM functionality. Avid did. There are plenty of people still out there using their Waves TDM plugins just fine!

They sent an email telling it will be a "super"delay plugin. Probably Supertap.

A few years ago they gave away Ren Bass....best free plug in ever. If I knew what it did before that I would have gladly purchased it

Just watched a demo on YT, seems like a lot of work.
Anyone out there who actually use it?

I can't remember when I last used SuperTap. Mind you, I could say that about a lot of plugins

Anyhow, whilst I'm here's this...

Starting tomorrow, Nov 24, share our Black Friday Sale with your friends – and get 12.5% of their next order in credit towards any software purchase at Waves.

So here's the code for an additional 12.5% of Waves!

It is SuperTap; never got an email from Waves on this. I wouldn't have even known about it if I hadn't seen this thread. And I'm on the Waves email list. The only other place I saw this mentioned was on Waves's YouTube channel. Hey at least it wasn't something lame like King's Microphones.

Downloaded and installed it but haven't had time to work with it. Thanksgiving and family time and all that so it'll be a while before I get back to music (at least not today). Between the cooking and a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 - that's where I'll be.
