Duplicate track

why is protools writing some automation data (mute points, volume points) to a track I duplicate and on the original is no automation???

I dont get that... the first thing I alway have to di when I duplicated a track is erase all automation... (on the new track)

Yep, that's an old one. Just don't tick "automation" option when you duplicate the track.

Hi,

If a track has no automation on it, there's no reason for a duplicate to suddenly have automation on it! i've never come across this issue.
