Default Going from LE to MP. Thoughts?

I have been using a mbox2 with LE7 and have been very satisfied with this, but I have a small apartment and want as few gadgets in my work space (it being the living room) and I don´t have room for a big synth/midi keyboard along with the mbox and my laptop. So I´ve been looking for a good M-Audio Midikeyboard/Audio interface combo, and now that they´ve released the Keystudio49i I´ve been thinking about selling the mbox2, and get the keystudio instead, and maybe a new firewire drive with the money left over. I already have a lisence for M-Powered 7.4 so the added software price is not an issue.

Now I´m just looking for thougts from my fellom DUC`ers about the switch. Can anyone give any good reasons to NOT make this trade?

I'd find a store where I could put on some headphones and try overdubbing a vocal with it. The M-Box's direct monitoring feature might give it a significant edge.

On the other hand I've been very happy with M-Powered and an Audiophile 192 card.

Thanks Bob. I´ll only be using my home set-up for recording instruments (alot of softsynths, hence the keystudio : ) and listening to mixes. Any vocal work will be done in the studio where I have a quite powerful vocal set-up based on a 003.

All input appreciated.

Was looking for someone to tell me about some hidden major drawback of MP compared to LE, but it doesn´t look like that will happen today, so horray and off to order my new allinone- thingamajig

There really is no difference other than - you can't run DV Toolkit with MP. I don't think that would bother you.

In general the M-Audio drivers are a little more flexible than the Digi core audio drivers for other system-based apps as well.
