Default Re: Plugins compatible with Apple Silicon natively

While grabbing PSP SpringBox I noticed that Vintage Warmer 2 and the Saturator also appear to be AAX Native. I believe both of those are recent updates.

edit: I installed Vintage Warmer and it does NOT open in Silicon Native though their site claims that it is. Not the first time PSP has had this issue.

PA's handling of this has been horrible. I've emailed their support multiple times trying to get literally any information, and I can't get anything beyond the standard copy/paste response (in which they try to confuse customers by saying most of their plugins are Apple Silicon native... Ignoring AAX).

iZotope has bene handing things in a similar fashion with some plugs (Symphony and Stratus, notably). Doesn't make me excited about "SoundWide".

Yeah, Plugins Alliance, Roland Cloud Synths and U-He are the only manufactures I am still waiting on. PA's last major update was June 28 2022 so I suspect they may release a large portion of them by the end of June.

Izotope has made me nervous when it comes to the Exponential verbs but I trust that they'll deliver on their promise to update Symphony/Stratus at some point.

Yeah, it's scared me a bit too. A few months ago their support told me they'd have the verbs updated "in a few weeks", so that's not exactly instilling confidence at this point.

Default Re: ALTIVERB UPDATE EMAIL FROM THEM

Here is a nice little bit of info I got from AudioEase about Altiverb, but I got something like this before, but without some of the info or whatever. I inquired again after months of no communication from them, but understand they are doing I guess what they can. Hopefully a new updated product that may be of use to us!

Hi Gregory,

I understand your question. We are on it. We were working on a new Altiverb version for over two years before it became apearant that the native apple silicon support was needed quickly. We choose to build this support into this new version and not in the current version. We are close, but not ready yet. As soon as we have news on the new version you will hear from us. Until that time you can run Pro Tools using Rosetta to use Altiverb.

Best regards,

Kind of good news. Altiverb is a bit long in the tooth. I can see why they would want to roll ARM support into the new version rather than update the old one.

In the meantime, I'm quite happy to use Altiverb as AU thru Bluecat Patchwork. It's usually set 'n forget with verbs for me, so it's not a big deal.

looks like iZotope updated Neutron 3... haven't checked if it's AAX native.

I may do that now since pretty much everything else is updated to Silicon Native now for me. Either way Rosetta 2 works well for me.
