Default Stereo Panner Metering in PT8

Hey all,

I found a February thread about this in the LE section but figured I would ask around these parts since I'm in HD. Since upgrading to PT8, I have noticed that the meters on stereo tracks don't respond to panning.... even in post fader metering. Anyone else notice this or have a solution other than panning with an insert?

Haven't noticed that here, meters respond to panning OK on PT8.0cs3 for me.

On track metering? Not here! i think he means on stereo tracks? pan the left panner fully right and the meters show signal left and right regardless of pre or post fader monitoring

meters are stuck in pre fader when in record . doesn't matter if you have them set to post fader.before 8 you could set all your levels in pre fade mode then switch to post . don't know why its this way now ....could someone from digi reply?

But if you are recording with a plugin across the track your metering is post-plugin which seems daft; I want to see record level, not bumped-up Amp Farm level!
