Default 6.1.1 CoreAudio Driver does it work for you?

I downloaded this for my HD system running Pro tools 6.1 on a G4 dual 1 gig machine. I began having weird directory corruption which may or may not be related but resulted in voice allocation errors etc, gray screen crashes, corrupt sessions etc. I uninstalled the 6.1.1 driver and ran Diskwarrior 3.0 on my boot drive. This still did not solve the problem. I finally created a new session and copied tracks one by one to this new session and trashed the corrupt sessions.
I do not know if it is related to the 6.1.1 Coreaudio driver or was just a case of corrupt directory.
I am waiting to learn if others are successfully using the new Coreaudio 6.1.1 driver and does it solve such problems as allowing Final Cut 4.0 to work using digidesign hardware for output?

I find the tools for solving corrupt directories to be problematic under OSX. Even AppleCare usually says to erase and reinstall. Disk Utility does not seem to be able to solve some problems. Tech Tools is inconsistant, Norton gives up on many problems and Disk Warrior may not solve some problems which seem to be common such as overlapping file allocation, without even letting you know that the problem is not solved.
Digi tech support is very wary of using any of these solutions which means OSX can be very troublesome if and when problems arise. I think some programs may be causing these issues so I am very wary of updates and the new CoreAudio drivers from Digidesign. I really need these to work. Let's hear what other users are experiencing??...

Default Re: 6.1.1 CoreAudio Driver does it work for you?

I tried it on my powerbook OSX.2.6 with PTLE6.1.1 & Core 6.1.1
tried DP4 with out luck. (DIGI claims it to work but not for me.
I am not going there on my TDM system. (I need to work)

As a note DP4.1 also does not work with most AU's I have.

It is almost to bad that OSX is so nice to work in. It seems a constant adjustment for every audio app upgrade.
I think Apple needs a larger font in their developer handbook.
