Default Avid Link Fails to install Downloaded software Enable UAC Install failed

New to Protools and the Avid Link where all the downloaded software is: fails to install products. In windows I have tried to run Avid Link as administrator
I am the administrator.

Any how the protools plugins are a probem now. I managed to find Protools download and bypass Advid link and I did install it manually by running as admin. Problem is Avid Link can't install anything that is in the Q and probably never will. This is the entire message

Install error: Pro tools install failed. Administrator Level authentication is needed to complete installation. Enable UAC and retry t he install in order to enter the necessary credentials.

So what i need is to find out where all the Advid downloaded plugin are located so I can manually install them

Thanks for your comments.

Windows Controlled Folder Access is most likely the problem. Microsoft set that to "on" by default when they rolled it out which interferes with installers that create folders/files in your Documents folder (which Pro Tools does for preset storage.) Highly irritating move by Microsoft (this is completely separate from UAC.)

Follow the instructions here in reverse to disable this "feature."
You only need to do the Windows Security App section.

You can re-enable it after doing the installations if you want (just remember you'll have to disable again on any updates.)
