Default Correcting my output level / gain structure

I'm recording electric guitar directly into my 003 to make use of amp simulator plugins I own (namely, Line 6's Gearbox), I also send this dry signal from my 003 to my amp so I can reocrd my 'real' tone at the same time. This in effect also heightens the realism of the plugin as I get some feedback which otherwise can't be modelled.

At his point in time i'm having trouble sorting the correct gain structure. Whilst I can send signal to my amp, the signal to noise ratio is horrendous, and not nearly useable for release purposes. Gain has been added, but the hi-z signal of the guitar is overwhelmed by noise.

I've tried a Morley ABY pedal which simultaneously splits the signal from my guitar to both my amp and DAW setup... this method works to a degree but the splitting of the signal seems to lessen the final tone and it's not quite hitting the nail on the head.

I like my first solution (guitar-->003-->amp-->back to 003), but i'm unsure how to minimize the noise to something workable. Any suggestions?

This thing is what you want for the output of the 003:

You will also get a bunch of latency on the amp signal because of the multiple AD/DA steps it is taking. It would be better to split the signal right after the guitar. Radial makes products for that too...
