Default MIDI i/o causes crash?

With PT 11.x/win 8 x64 & my MOTU midi i/o (all with latest x64 drivers) midi input will not function with the motu attached. PT will also crash if I try to disable the midi inputs. 11 will hang everytime you close PT with the motu hardware attached. The ports show up as "emulated" under 11 but not under PT10. The midi I/O on my TC audio interfaces work fine under both. Not sure why PT11 shows the motu i/o as emulated..? 32bit/64bit issue?

Default Re: MIDI i/o causes crash?

I use a MOTU Fastlane USB 2x2 here with both 10 and 11. No issues at all. "Emulated" should not be an issue(some of my midi connections also show that). Maybe worth trying the MOTU on a different USB port(as far away as you can from where it is now). Remember that USB ports seem to be wired in pairs, so moving the MOTU to the next pair is what I mean.

For me it's something to do with the MOTU drivers/hardware.
Hardware works as intended with other 64 & 32bit DAW's including PT 10.
But in 11 no midi input & crashing on application exit if the motu hardware is attached.
