PT 7.4.2 will not follow MIDI velocity
Hey everyone,
Pro Tools will not play back any of my MIDI velocity data. Whether the velocity is 127 or 1 the instrument will play back the at the same volume/attack. Any ideas? PT 7.4.2 Mac OS X 10.5.5 Kontakt Player 2 as an insert - Garritan Personal Orchestra |

Re: PT 7.4.2 will not follow MIDI velocity
Figured out my own problem.
If you use Kontakt Player 2 and GPO, be aware that certain instruments (oboe for example) will remove the attack portion of the note when you press the sustain pedal for a more legato feel. This mean that velocity data will not trigger anything - you have to then use modwheel data to change volume. |
