pre-roll acting weird

hey all

something weird is happening with my pre-roll and has been since i upgraded to 7.3

whenever i stop recording or playback the pre-roll goes back a few bars from where i initially put the cursor.
this is very annoying because if im punching myself in and mess up id like to be able to stop, undo and start again with the pre-roll in the same spot instead of going back a few bars thus starting the punch in a few bars earlier than its supposed to.

any idea whats going on here?


also in some sessions when i highlight something and press the E key to zoom in on that selection the key doesnt work. some sessions it does. whats going on here?

any help would be much appreciated.

ive also done all of the basic troubleshooting. trashing prefs, database folders, restarting etc...

Sounds like you have dynamic transport mode engaged. Deselect that option and see if your problem goes away.

still the E key doesnt toggle the zoom when i select a section of a track but only in this specific session. weird.
