Default Backup solution needed

I'm looking for a SCSI-based backup system that is:
1. Stable
2. Mac and PC compatible
3. A good value per Gig (both media and hardware)
4. Somewhat fast

If you can provide brand, model, price and where to buy, it would be appreciated.
