Default Artist series EUCON backwards compatibility?

hi, I'm mid project(s) on a 2012 mac mini- running PT11 and ECON 3.7

its struggling a bit, altho I think I can make it thru. ( video sync pro very helpful )

I just scored a 2nd hand 2018 6 core macmini and have installed ultimnate on it, as well as EUCON 2021.10.1.29

looking like I got everything going on there plugs etc.

tempted to take the plunge - but to go for it - i need update the firmware on the my artist mix and control.

anyone know if that's a one way journey? can downgrade the firmware if it doesnt go well?
