yah this isn't one of those extras, this is baked in the Pro Tools app itself.

I use little snitch to block Pro Tools from connecting to anything, ever.

Why does my DAW need to talk to the mothership? MY TAPE MACHINE DIDN'T!

With manager and cloud services uninstalled, this message still comes up when PT is loading. Not saying it's a problem, but anyone know what kind of connection is happening?

If the Application Manager and Cloud Client Services are uninstalled, I wouldn't think any kind of connection is happening... PT is simply running through its startup list; if no connection, it moves on to next item, would be my assumption...
