error - 199 -6027 again
PT 5.1 OS 9.2
14 tracks ATA 7200RPM. MDD dual 1.25 ghz of course, replacing DAE etc, solves the problem. But after half an hour of playing, again same problem. NO plugins inserted

Any idea, I'm desperate.
I even installed a brand new WDC caviar 120G as audio drive .

Re: error - 199 -6027 again
I even installed a brandnew WDC caviar 120G.
There is one session on it about 18 tracks. Errors pop up, if I am in record ready mode, 1 track.

Re: error - 199 -6027 again
I suppose you read the following post from DigiTech in the duc search
>>Hello, This error (DAE -199) is generally caused by a corrupted DAE. Delete DAE from the System Folder>DAE Folder then drag and drop a fresh copy from the Pro Tools CD ROM. In addition, trash the DigiSetup File, Pro Tools preference, and DAE prefs (the entire folder) from the System Folder>Preferences folder. Empty the Trash and restart the Mac. Mike << A couple of things have sprung to my mind that might help (sorry if you've been through this before) : Also have you tried putting a fixed value (like 8 minutes for example in the preferences for the open ended record time ? In particular if you formatted drives in HFS+ This is because HFS + strains system much more than good ol' HFS (no plus). - Is your track disc allocation right (ie not allocated to the system drive while reading from the audio drive), can happen sometimes (made me go crazy once...) - Have you tried different values of DAE buffer ? If you want to test this intensively you can take your plugs out from the plugin folder (apart from the mixer plug) so as to speed up quitting and reloading PT - Have you tried changing the file format ? (from .wav to SDII for example - have you tried a firewire drive for audio ? I have found that even on a "old" G4 AGP 450, the firewire management with new firmware and OS 9.2.2 was just amazing. I could read sessions on one drive that need to be spread on two drives with SCSI. Only snag is a little more inertia on play stop etc Hope you get out of this soon good luck Mark Haliday
