Default Mac, or PC for 002R?

Just bought a new 002R, but my Mac is sooo old it's useless and I must get a new computer, but I wonder which one. Are there some advantages of one platform over the other (I'm also considering Lap Top use), when using 002R?

Thanks, MO

P.S. Sorry for cross posting in bot Mac and PC forums, but I'd like to hear suggestions from both camps.

i've run PC seemlessly for 18 months now. Get it set up correctly and you'll have joy. My 002/PC have done 6 albums in the last year- I use it 60 hours a week, so I can vouch that if it's set up properly, it will be your friend

Advantages... cost. Cosmetics over cost.

ps. no doubt all the mac users will trash talk PC as an option, but the fact is they both work...well! and with the click of a button (upon opening a session) you have mac/pc compatability.

Sorry for my english, it's terrible!!!

Apple or PC ???, Easy: if you need to use big sessions, go to PC: more powerfull than Apple. Or if you don't need powerfull and would like to spend money to get less than PC, try Apple!!!

I worked with both systems and sorry for mac users but apple doesn't has powerfull for medium-big sessions...

A friend. Pace!

I was wondering what do you mean by "set it up correctly"? I have two hard drives for my pc one (200GB) with my Win XP SP2 and Pro Tools, and the other one (250GB) for my audio. I have a Digi 002R. I also have 1.5 Gb of RAM. Would you call that a "correct setup"? Thanks.
