Consolidate selection moves transients randomly
Hello everybody, this is the strangest thing. Having two problems and not sure why.
I will import a wav kick drum file, cut it at the first transient and snap it to line up perfectly on the grid and tab to all the other hits and write down their sample position. When I consolidate the file every hit will be randomly moved by several samples before or after where they should be. I can see the waves moving. This is not chopped up regions but one continuous file so I cannot understand what is going on. Does it on commit also. Happens on PT10HD and PT12HD on two different computers. Win7Pro, RME HDSP9652, one computer is a HP Z400. The second problem is trying to print virtual instruments. If I send the outs of something like SSD4 and record, each hit seems to be off randomly also. I know midi is not sample accurate but it is so random it has me stumped. I'll quantize the midi file and set the velocity all the same and use a single drum sample to rule out different cut points on the samples. Still does it. Any help is greatly appreciated because this is driving me nuts. |
