PT 8 MP - Clicks, Pops, and Static
Hi,
I had ProTools 7.4.3 installed and running perfectly with no issues but now that I've upgraded to 8, there is often lots of noise during recording and playback. It frequency of it varies and I've had a few excellent takes ruined by just a click or a pop. I'm not a very experienced user of ProTools but I can do what I need to. Can anyone suggest optimal settings for the HW and buffer settings inside Pro Tools? I plan on following the XP optimization instructions after work today, but I've heard the settings inside Pro Tools about the computer's resources can be equally important. Any other tips? Thank you. Specs are in my signature. I'm running PT MP 8.01cs1. -Alex
