Default Trying to record vocals in pro tools le 7.3..Need Help!!!

Ok so i recently purchased a focusrite trak master pro mic pre amp with compressor and eq.

I have it connected to my mbox 2.

I have the pre amp connected to the 1/4 in. line input 1 on my mbox 2. My mic is connected to the xlr input on my pre amp. (which from there the pre amp connects to the mbox.)

Im trying to record vocals with pro tools le 7.3 .

Im not very good with pro tools le yet and i having a problems with recording my vocals.

I opened pro tools and started a new session creating a mono audio track.

Is this what i should be recording vocals to? A mono or stereo track?

I created a mono track but when i try to record, it doesnt record any sound.

I have the record enabled and i have the 48v on my pre amp on and the 48v on my mbox 2 cut on.

When i hit record it doesnt record any audio.

What am i doing wrong or what is not cut on? Help me please!!!

(also i would aprecciate any tips on using compression with vocals on my pre amp or tips on how to use the pre amp properly to get warm sounding vocals.)

thanks, dennis

Have you checked to make sure you have the correct input source selected?
