002/Cubase/Soft Synths
Hi , i am interested in buyingthe 002 running on an Athlon machine.
I was wondering about the following features and i cant find the info anywhere. I hope someone here can help me out. 1. Can a host program run on 002 hardware ? eg Cubase SX. 2. How stable are soft synths on 002---would like to use Reason , Native Instruments and Sampletank. 3.Can the 002 used as a control surface for Cubase SX ? 4. How good does it sound ? 5. Whats the Protools 5.1.3 Midi Sequencer like in case i do all my work within Protools ? Hoping for replies. Thanks a lot F |

I don't have an 002 but from what I have read here Cubase SX probably only will work with ASIO driver and give you one stereo channel. I would like to know myself but unless something has changed with PTLE that is it. I doubt that it can be used for a control surface for Cubase either. The 002 comes with 5.3.2 PTLE software and the MIDI is ok as far as I know but it probably won't be as complex as Cubase SX. Phil O'Keefe can probably fill you in better because he just bought one. |
