Default Protools 9 crashing on startup

Just installed a full copy of PT 9, then updated to 9.0.3, and when I try to open it it crashes (see details below). It seems to crash right after the dialog says "setting up midi". I use MolCP3, and I have the latest version installed (and it works totally fine in Logic, which I also have installed on the machine). I've already tried removing all non-digi plugins, repairing permissions, and multiple restarts to no avail. Anyone have any ideas? The details below suggest that PT crashes on thread 26, whatever that means.

How many total I/O are you working with? It seems PT9 has some issues with devices that exceed the 32 I/O limit, particularly those with 48 or more.

the most IO I would use is a stereo out for monitoring (likely just the stereo outs of the MacPro). Of course I can't even get to a place of selecting any audio interface, though... because PT won't open.

(edit)

However, the most IO I have available is 100 (with the RME cards as an aggregate device).

You've repaired permissions, but running this free program might help:
ProTools Prefs & Database Helper

http://www.jcdeshaies.com/

I would select all the tick boxes before running it.
