Default mix dies 5-10 seconds into powerup sequence

I just had a mix fail. It powers up and the butons all light up and then it dies every time.
Has anyone come across this?

Most of the time I have 2-3 units freezing and I have to unplug the power cable, plug it back in and restart the units.

It could be an IP problem with the router.

It does not freeze, it just shuts down completely.

Avid mostly work through the support service they offer. You should open a ticket; seems like your hardware is broken.

Maybe try it on someone's else computer?

I will be trying it on one of our pyramix systems once it is back from this scoring session.

I had two units working and both PSUs are fine on the other unit.
How do you put it in test mode?

Thanks, it enters test mode, but it is unresposive and static. it shows up in eucon, but nothing more.
It lights up and stays on, but I see none of the reactions as described in the fault testing doc.
Auto test alos lights up, but no fader movement and no screens
I wish I could reinstall the firmware, but as I am on the latest, it will not let me

So I bought an avid support code.
The problem is that I get the wonderful message "invalid user" when I type in the support code.
Congrats avid, do I need to purchase another support ticket so you can help me use the one I have already paid for?
And also, the 00800 number you have listed does not work from Sweden either, so I guess I will have to pay for an international phonecall seeing as your online support is not working. For 70 euros of support, I would atleast expect a local number to call.

I still have not been able to get avid to respond to the actual issue despite paying for the support.
I have instead been spending countless hours talking with support to get the support code to work.

We have over $50 000 worth of Avid equipment here, and I expect better support - particularly when you have paid for it.

All I want them to do is to identify the fault and sell me a spare part.
Last time I broke an artist mix, it took one email and my card number and the part was in the mail within days.

Below is the latest answer from avid.
I responded with an invoice dated three days ago showing that the ASC code was bought from the avid store.

"I have tried to create a case for you myself, however, when doing so, I found that your Avid Support Code is actually expired.

What I can recommend you in this situation is to either purchase a new Avid Support Code:
http://shop.avid.com/store/product.do?product=325333652462736

or contact your reseller if your product is still in warranty.

Just in case, here is a list with authorized repair centers:

I hope you can find a fix to the issues soon.

Best regards,
"
