Replacement 001 PCI card?

Well, no good deed goes unpunished! I lent a second 001 I had lying around (long story as to why I have two) to a friend of mine who has been unemployed for a while. He's a great musician and I wanted to help in any way I could. I also lent him some other audio gear I wasn't using. As luck would have it, his computer was just stolen, along with a ton of other gear, from his apartment. He told me in an email, "none of your stuff was taken". I feel so bad for him that I'm not going to tell him about the 001 PCI card that was in his Mac. Does anyone know where I can get another one? What do they go for all by themselves? On eBay I see a few I/O boxes for sale but not PCI cards.

If youa re a registered owner you may be able to get one frim Digi.

Someone out there (probably DIgi) has lots and lots of used 001 PCI cards (and breakout boxes) from the trade-in program. Give them a call.

Registered Digi 001 owners can purchase a replacement PCI card or breakout box for their 001 if either have been stolen. A copy of the police report of the theft is required. This is in order to discourage theft. Whoever stole your PCI card will not be able ot purchase a breakout box from Digidesign, but you can purchase a replacement card by contacting Digi CSA and providing a police report.

Thanks, Digi. He has a police report, but it is in his name, not mine and the report may only mention the Mac, not the card. Will that suffice? What is Digi CSA? Customer service?
