I can't uninstall ProTools

I have had Pro Tools installed in my laptop for about a year now but recently it was not working properly. When i double clicked on the protools icon nothing would happen. I thought that maybe reinstalling Pro Tools would solve the problem so i began uninstalling the programmes. Strangely though when i go to the add or remove programmes option and try to uninstall pro tools it doesn't work. I get the 3 options of what i want removed. I click that i want everything removed and then start the process. Unfortunately the uninstall screen just sits on one bar and never progresses past that.

Is there something i am missing?

Try the PT nuke utility. It did the trick for me.

I followed the link to the PT Nuke and ran it. It removed the ProTools icon from my desktop but when i go to the start menu, control panel, add remove programmes, Pro Tools is still there.

It seems to be impossible to remove it.

Is there something I am doing wrong, or am not doing at all?
