Problems installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 Software Upgrade
I am currently running on an AMD Athlon Processor 3200+ with 2.20GHz and 1.00GB of RAM using Windows XP Home Edition. I currently own a Digidesign digi 001 and I am unable to upgrade to any other interface at the moment. Before purchasing the upgrade to LE 6.4 software I was running on the standard 5.1.1 software which wouldn't allow me to even install it. After I purchased the Pro Tools® LE 6.4 Software Upgrade for Digi 001 for Windows XP - DOWNLOAD ONLY I installed the program and when ever I try running it two error messages pop up, one reading "The procedure entry point_DsiGetHardwareMemoryBlockEndAddress@0 could not be located in the dynamic link library DSI.dll. Once I hit ok to that error another error pops up stating, A required DLL file, DAE.dll, was not found.. I tried running a google search for both DLL's and was unable to find anything to resolve my problem so I turned to the forums hoping a tech or someone with better experience could assist me. If i need to add anymore information as far as my computer specs or anything like that at all please let me know because I am a bit new to this.. Other than that if theres anyone who could assist me in getting my Pro Tools running again please help, I'd really appritiate it.
Thanks Sym |

Re: Problems installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 Software Upgrade
Are you using Win XP Service Pack 2? If so, you should try installing the PTLE 6.4cs9 for WinXP update. You could also try updating the Pace Interlok driver as well.

Re: Problems installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 Software Upgrade
And you'll need the 6.4cs6 update along with also needing the 6.4cs9 update and the latest PACE Drivers.
Cheers,

Re: Problems installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 Software Upgrade
Hi, I am still unable to launch my Pro Tools LE 6.4cs9.. Ive done everything that was suggested to me and it still gives me the same errors. Can someone please help me fix my Pro Tools so I can finally launch and use it once again.. If I am unable to fix this problem then I basically spent 35$ for the 6.4 version for nothing.. =( Please help me.. Thank you in advance.

Re: Problems installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 Software Upgrade
It sounds like you have two different, conflicting versions of Pro Tools on your system. That's usually what causes DSI.dll and DAE.dll errors.
You should try to completely uninstall all traces Pro Tools (using the un-install utility) and re-installing.

Re: Problems installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 Software Upgrade
Assuming you have a compatible chipset, a clean/fresh install of:
6.4 cs6 cs9 Latest Pace drivers Should give you a working setup. If you've followed that procedure, and your still having problems, you should follow the instructions in the General troubleshooting thread and post a detailed Sandra system report. |

If you purchased it online, as a download only, your auth code should be available in your order history in the digistore. Go to "Your Account", login, then click on "View Order Details/Tracking Number" next to your order. The auth code should be in that order information.
