Default What features are coming?
Not a facetious thread - I may well have missed something. I know Avid announced Freeze, Collaboration etc months / years in advance, but off the top of my head I can't think of anything that they've said is coming down the road now.

Annual renewal is up, see. They haven't given any indication of adding the one checkbox I've asked them to add for years which would make a huge difference to me in HD - "Include Project Media Files" to the Field Recorder expand tracks by timecode box, so I can uncheck it. I'd pay the renewal fee for that alone, but I doubt it will ever come. Bugs - they never seem to get properly fixed do they? New ones always replace the old, so I may as well just stick with a version that at least I know what the bugs are.

In short, thinking it's time to get off the renewal train, but if there's anything genuinely useful coming I may think again. So... did I miss anything?

Interesting question. There had been a lot of fanfare about upcoming features in 12.x

Any indication from Avid that they're taking this seriously? Right now I see no new features on the horizon, and no significant improvements to stability. And given that in the past they've given us notice of what's to come, and there's none now, it makes me deduce that they're having to cut costs but are relying on customers to fund, effectively, nothing.

I'll need to see something from Avid if I'm to renew.

Namm is coming up isn't it? They should be out touting something at least at NAMM.
