Default Looking for practice audio post projects

Hey folks,

Getting my feet wet in the realm of Audio/FX Post Production and would love to play/practice with more projects.

Does anyone know of a good site to find such?

Thanks,

Bodie

I'm not looking for work, just looking for practice. I'm very gainfully employed right now ;-). I am on our local indie film newsgroup/mailing list, so I've started reaching out to various productions.

thanks though!

Hey Bodie,

If you're just looking to practice, you can always use your favourite DVD and repost it. One of my interns used to do this and I have to say his cutting and sound design skills were impressive (also his organization and work ethic were great too...). A great way to practice sound design, Foley, FX cutting and ADR skills and you always have nice pic to work to!

Barring that you're current solution and joining any local film/video co-ops will also provide sources. Be sure to be honest and upfront about the fact that you're just learning... although judging from the tone of your posts you're already doing that.

Good Luck!

hadn't even considered ripping a DVD and remixing...that's interersting.

Thoughts on how to do so? I've never pulled video intact from a DVD.

thanks,

MPEG streamclip lets you pull video of a non-protected DVD and convert it into a quicktime.

OMG...that was so helpful I'm flabbergasted.

I already did, but will search more, obviously I'm just not as brilliant as you ;-), I bow in reverence to your intellect and power. I am truly humbled at my stupidity

LOL

thanks, that was too obvious to pass,

Bodie

Check out the "Versiontracker" web site. They have lots of shareware and freeware to do just that.
