Default PRAISE for PT LE 7.4.2

I know the DUC tends to be the place to complain...and of course to find answers to your PT problems...but this is instead a PRAISE for PT LE 7.4.2.

I upgraded my OS to 10.5.3 and upgraded PT to 7.4.2 this last week. Before doing the install, I made sure that I had total plugin compatibility. After the install I made sure to go through all the troubleshooting steps (i.e. deleting Digi databases on all drives etc.) I also ran Cocktail before ever opening this latest version of Pro Tools.

PT LE 7.4.2 on my MBox 2 and MacBook Pro is working flawlessly and brilliantly. I've worked on a variety of sessions (both newly created and pulling up old sessions created in previous versions of PT), used a variety of plugins, track counts, track types yadda yadda...and not one problem to report.

I'm digging being able to use Spaces to improve my workflow (i.e. mail and iChat in one Space, Firefox in another space, viewing scripts in Microsoft Word in one Space, and PT in yet another space...so cool.) Time Machine is backing up all of my work...creating such a wonderful sense of peace and wonder, no longer fearing that I might lose valuable work. All in all, I am one very happy Pro Tools and Apple customer.

Thanks Digi.

JC

Ill second that!!!!

Spaces is brilliant, and yes 7.4.2 works very well in Leopard, but of course only using the 1 processor instead of 2, on a Duo Core2 MacBook Pro.

Through your post I'm seeing maybe there is some hope for running LE8 on El Capitan. Does anyone have any advise on how I can load PT LE 8 onto El Cap?
