Default Saving or recalling Midi CC values

Gosh. It's hard to search for anything on here now!!! I thought there would surely be some questions before now about Midi CC values in VIs.

So.......are the Avid/Air VI's not capable of saving, storing or recalling midi CC values? For instance, I have to switch all the values of my controller's sliders (keystation) to match the default CC values of the drawbars in DB-33. That's fine. But then I load something else like Xpand and have to switch them again. I can remap the CC numbers in DB-33 but it doesn't save either with the session or with the plugin settings. Is there something I'm missing or is this just how it is?
