getting xp ready for pro tools 6
hi-
is there a thread or site which describes the best way to get xp/home ready for a clean installation of pt 6.1? I should be getting pt 6.1 by next wednesday and would like to make sure xp is properly set up for it. I use digi 001 hardware. thanks kevin |

Re: getting xp ready for pro tools 6
The getting started guide for my mbox was very specific about what to do. You will probably be able to download the getting started for your product from the digi site.

Re: getting xp ready for pro tools 6
I would recommend to start with the Getting Started Guide and only do what it tell you to do (i.e. disable hyperthreading, enable DMA, etc..).
After that run ProTools and see what happens. Once ProTools is u and running (or not up and running) you can proceed with the various tweaks recommended on this forum [AS NEEDED].. Good Luck! - GAPE |
