Default Help: No Access to ProTools LE after Macbook Pro Update

My ProTools Le worked fine until I updated it earlier this evening per the request of an Apple notification. The update was two-fold, one update for ITunes and the other for Macbook Pro. I reinstalled ProTools 7.3.1 onto my hard drive, but I still cannot open the program. What am I doing wrong? How do I fix this problem?

Thank you.
Jim

Default Re: Help: No Access to ProTools LE after Macbook Pro Update

The following link is referenced in a "sticky" at the top of this forum (Mac OS X 10.4.9 Qualified & Pro Tools Launch Error Help), and as a major item (one of the very first ones) under the General Troubleshooting sticky:

Mac OS X Requirements with Pro Tools 6 & 7
Quote:
  • Do not use Apple's automatic Software Update or the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Delta Update. Instead, install the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update for Intel-based or PowerPC-based Macs:

    * Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update (Intel)
    * Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update (PPC)
  • If you have already updated using Software Update, you should download and install the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update.
I'm not sure if 10.4.10 has been qualified yet, but I would imagine that when it does, the same instructions would apply for the 10.4.10 update. If you have already applied the 10.4.10 update, try using the combo update for that as well.
