Macbook Pro, PT 7.1.1cs2, 002R, performance advice
Just hoping I could get some advice on performance issues I've started having.
Using a Macbook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.16 Ghz, with 3 GB of RAM. Internal hard drive is the 120 GB 5400 RPM Fujitsu that came with it. Recording via Firewire 800 to a 1TB 7200 RPM Lacie Big Disk Extreme. OS is Tiger 10.4.11 Mainly running PT 7.1.1cs2 rewired with Reason 4.0 and recently upgraded to a 002R with hopes of utilizing 96 khz for some higher quality recordings. However, I'm now having all sorts of CPU and Hardware errors and slow performance compared to before on my mbox. I've tried turning up the CPU usage and DAE buffer but this doesn't help. My sessions are small to medium using a fair amount of plugins. Does 96 Khz really make that much of a difference? Or is there something else going on here? Any advice would be great! Thanks guys, -Andy |
