Default not a lot of people have bought PT10

You can tell not a lot of people have bought PT10 by the very low amount of posts in the forum, either good or bad.

You can't actually tell that. Please stop trying to spread false information.

My "GUESS" is that if a lot of people had purchased PT10 then DigiTechSupt would have replied with sales figures to simply prove that speculation that Barry Johns made as false.

No, there's no way tech support are going to quote sales figures!

Thread will probably be locked soon

Right, we're not posting sales numbers. We also don't want to lock the thread. We encourage people to share their opinions, but if you are guessing at something please don't frame it as a fact. Thanks.

As a consumer, I really don't think it matters what the sales figures are.

Sales figures make no difference at all as to whether or not one should choose to buy it. The decision to buy or not ought to be made purely on personal preference and affordability, not on speculation as to how many others have it.

Perhaps it would matter if one was a shareholder, but then information is provided by the company in annual reports to those who have a stake in the business.

This then begs the question; What is the point of starting this thread?

Crikey, don't buy it if you don't want to. You can still do all your work with a previous version.

I've just crossgraded to HD Native from HD3 Accel and am very pleased with PT10. It has improved my workflow. Could I of done the same work on my old 7.4 system? Yes. Was it worth the cost? Yes.

Right, back to work ;-)

I bought it, albeit unintentionally - I had actually bought 9 just before the announcement, so I was lucky enough to get the upgrade.

Personally, I've just been getting into it and haven't had a lot of reason to post here much. Seen a few weirdnesses, but I'm also still studying the software (I've been using Live & Reaper for the last few years) and I'm reasonably self-sufficient so I don't need to (nor want to) come post n00b questions - often I find answers on my own.

FWIW, I've been enjoying it so far - which is more than I could say for my earlier foray into PTLE a few years back. YMMV...

Its pretty safe to say that i think you're right !

Im going to wait a for pt 11.
I dont hate pt. I love working with it.

Pt9 HD works for me I bought the first day it came out !
pt10 not worth it for me. im sure its good just not for me.
I use a console and outboard gear so ill keep investing in things that really make a difference in sound.
I dont think a $1,000 dollar update is going to do that for me

Did it occur to you that perhaps most ProTools users don't post on the DUC? They just use this awesome program to make and record music and don't ever come here unless that have a problem. The lack of posts could simply be because PT10 is solid, fast and robust and most folks aren't having problems.

If you are unhappy with PT10, DON'T BUY IT! SHEESH!
