Default Protools crashes on opening sessions

Hi,

I have an issue with a protools HD2 8.0.3 cs2 running on a Mac Pro 2 x
2.66 GHz Dual Core Intel Xeon with MAC OS 10.6.2
Sometimes Protools crashes on opening session. I have to restart the
computer before launching PT again otherwise the computer freezes.
I already proceeded to a complete re-install and I have the same thing
happening, so maybe it could be hardware.
I have the last dlog after I could reproduce the crash. Could you check
it out and help us on this issue? How should I send it to you?

Thank you for the service.

Hi,

Many things can cause this issue!! the major cause is nearly always plugins related.

remove ALL plugins except the "stereomixer.dpm" from your plugs folder. system drive/library/app support/digidesign/plugins

TRASH PREFS to empty the cache!

Now try booting with just the stereomixer plug in the folder and see if it happens.

I've seen that type of mess a couple of times with 8.03, always related to quicktime in my case.

Never crashed again since 8.04
