Default converting pro tools HD files for LE use

we recorded our demo at a studio with a pro tools HD system,not sure what exactly and i'm wanting to open the session files in pro tools LE 6.7 altho it says its not a valid file, are there ways around this? i realise this has probably been posted somewhere else, i'm new to the site and the internet tho and would appreciate some help

You shouldn't have to do anything to open the session. Are you sure you are clicking on the session file?

If you try to open an audio file through the "open session..." dialog you will get that error.

That doesn't matter in versions 6.7 and beyond. Should just be able to open it and it will convert it automatically. (unless of course the audio files are mac sdII files, then I believe that's a different story)

Good to know. I'm still on 6.1.1, and won't be joining the upgrade parade for another couple of weeks.

all the files are on a dvd and i dont know what sort they are,which i guess doesnt help.
i cant open the sessions anyway and i dont know if pc/mac compatibility was selected. as it was recorded on a mac and i use a pc.
any more ideas anyone?

No, you have 6.7 -- your issue is a bad DVD transfer (with sd2 files). For a session with sd2 files to work, the DVD must be burned as a Mac disk... and you need to mount the disk using MacDrive on XP.
