Pro Tools 10 Audio Problem
I can visibly see the audio bars moving and I've finally figured out how to synchronize my MIDI keyboard to the program but I just can't get any sound from my speakers. I'm currently using the Logitech 200w stereo speakers and a Crosshair V Formula motherboard found here -----> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131735 which contains a SupremeFX X-Fi 2 audio device built in. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Pro Tools 10 Audio Problem
Hello,
I dont think your onboard sound card will work well with pro tools. While it may be OK for gaming, since the motherboard you bought is designed for gaming. There are problems with the onboard sound and ASIO. I dont think it has a compatable ASIO driver. I would either go get a soundblaster X-fi, install it and turn off the onboard in the BIOS. The soundblaster will give you a dedicated sound processor some memory and 24 bit recording. Or the best thing you could do, is find a dedicated USB/FireWire interface that has the I/O you need and that fits your budget, and use that for all your audio recording and playback. I hope this helps..... Sean |
