It was gone for a long time but yesterday it popped up again, just once though.
Sometimes when audio is too compressed or saturated it does fail to analyse and show the pitches, then they're just straight blobs. I do like to record vocals with quite some compression on the way in so that's a big meh. When using the plugin Melodyne this isn't an issue so its definitely PT related. I'm on the latest PT now.
