Problem with delay compensation
Hello
I'm working with PT 10.3.3 on Mac OSX Lion with digi002 and macpro quad core. I'm trying to use the delay compensation on one session containing Audio tracks and Instrument tracks, and there are big delays between audio tracks et instruments tracks. Is that kind of session incompatible with delay compensation ? Or any setting could help me ? Thank you J |

Re: Problem with delay compensation
There shouldn't be any PDC problems with a session that contains audio and instrument tracks.
1. check that all tracks are output to the same mix buss e.g Analog 1 & 2 2. make sure that the appropriate delay compensation is selected in the playback engine (e.g short etc) to provide sufficient delay compensation for the plug-in with the largest delay. |

Re: Problem with delay compensation
Thank you Phil
Indeed my tracks are routed to a 'monitor' bus via two sub-busses... This configuration works with all audio tracks or all instrument tracks but not with both... I tried to rout every tracks to Analog 1&2 but I had the same problem. delay compensation value in preferences is appropriate with my largest delay. |

Re: Problem with delay compensation
When do you notice this delay? During playback? During recording? Both?
Which setting have you chosen for the ADC engine? What is the highest delay (orange) in this session, and which virtual instrument is it? Does this happen with all virtual instrument tracks? Lastly, could you post a screenshot of the mix window? Might be easier to pinpoint the problem.

Re: Problem with delay compensation
Hello PT Lover
Delay happens during playbak and record (bounce). I attached two screenshots of my mix window and preferences. The virtual instrument is Kontakt, but I have the same problem with Omnisphere. The instrument tracks are late compared to audio tracks. Thank you for your help |

Re: Problem with delay compensation
Try to Option+drag the VIs and other plugins onto instrument tracks to copy them over, and see if that makes a difference. You'd have to route the MIDI tracks accordingly.
Do you have the latest updates for Kontakt and Omnisphere installed?

Re: Problem with delay compensation
Which plugin do you have after Kontakt there? Have you tried toggling ADC off/on again?
There was a time when one had to assign valid audio inputs on tracks with VIs on them, but I forget why. If you assign any valid input path to Kontakt's track; does it change anything?
