Default Xpand2 Question

Hi.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not you can assign specific drum kit samples to specific pads on my midi pad. i am using an Akai MPD18 with Xpand2 in Pro Tools MP9. when i use the drum kits in xpand2, the samples are pre-assigned to my pad in a weird order that makes it hard to play.
i dont need anyone to tell me how they think i should record my drums or anything. i just want to know if its possible to re-assign the pads.

ideally, i would like 2 kicks side by side, and the snare next to them. and my toms in the row above the kick and snare instead of scattered about.

any ideas?

Speaking of assinging Xpand2..... Can Xpand2 on an aux chanel be used for two separate tracks, for two separate sounds, say, drums on one track, and a synth on another?

With Xpand, I would just change the midi note assignment on the pad unit. Structure is another little gem that can do similar, but with samples that you can find/create and load for your own custom kits. Re. Mister C's question, you could assign different sound sets to their own midi channel, or just load another instance of Xpand on its own Instrument tracks(I would always load any VI plugin on a stereo instrument track).
