Default Which I-mac?

Greetings. I have a i7 PC (XP operating system) running Nuendo, Cubase, Sonar, Reasons, and several programs (chk sys translator, Ensoniq midi disk tools, MPC editor, etc) that will only run on XP. I use it for production and recording but I am looking to venture into a MAC to use PT9 and do a couple of other task. I know I dont need the most power MAC because I already have a powerful system. I am seeking advice on what would be a good I-mac to purchase? would the basic one for $1199 be enough to run 30-48 +/- track sessions, 2-3 plugins per track, minimal VI and maybe add a HD system (via thunderbolt) at a later time. Again, I dont need it to be superpowerful nor do I have to have a large screen. The only Mac Ive ever owned are 2 old clamshells I use to run MESA so be gentle Thanks!

I think you'll be fine with that.
