PTLE 7.3 questions.

Ok, I have two questions and I know intelligent people here know the answer lol >.>

1) I have Pro Tools 7.3 and an Mbox2. I was planning on installing it at a friend's house, but I am worried that if I do so, I cannot install it on my computer later. Can I install it on two separate computers? Which brings me to my second question...

2) I cannot install it on my own computer because I have Mac OS X 10.4.9 and I tried to do it with 7.3 a while back. Everything crashed and I can't do much of anything anymore without it "unexpectedly quitting". Now when I follow the instructions to install the Combo, it does the same thing. Unexpectedly quits. What do I need to do to get PTLE 7.3 running on my 10.4.9? Should I just buy a 10.4 install disk, and just upgrade to 10.4.8? What should I do? Please help. v_v

First... you can install the PT software anywhere you'd like, it'll only run with the iLok connected.

Two... Runs great with 10.4.9. Go and get the 10.4.9 combo updater (not the auto update) and install it. That'll most likely fix your problem.

Three... You should have asked this in the LE forums. This is TDM. I'm not sure why so many people insist on doing this... but you'll probably get a faster response (typically) by asking the people that actually use the software you are referring to.

What is iLok? I need to buy iLok to do it? >.>

Yeah, I can't install or download anything on this computer. It "unexpectedly quits". That's the first thing I tried too. x_x

how do you have 10.4 on your computer without having an install disk for it?

I would say that you need to get your computer straightened out first. It sounds like you may need to reinstall everything. Just start fresh. 10.4.9 will work with 7.3.
