Default Mbox2 Mini, SB Audigy, nforce2

I want to buy an Mbox2 Mini, but I am a little confused about Digidesign's hardware support policy.

My motherboard is an Asus A7N8X featuring the nforce2 chipset. My CPU is a Athlon XP 2700+.
I still have a Soundblaster Audigy PCI Card, which I would like to continue to use for MIDI input.

I've seen a list of supported/not supported Hardware for PTLE 7.3, however neither does it say my Hardware is supported nor does it say it is not.

Will PTLE 7.3 work on my hardware ?
Will I be able to use the MIDI in from my SB Audigy ?

Best Wishes,

Chri

Maybe it is easier to answer the following:

Does Digidesign blacklist all Chipsets or CPUs that are not listed as "supported", like PTLE says "hey, this is an nforce2 board, so I'll refuse to start up". ?

About MIDI interfaces: Does PTLE make use of the MIDI In/Out Devices that are installed under Windows, or does it require to use its own drivers for any MIDI Hardware to run in PTLE ?
Does Digidesign blacklist all MIDI devices that are not listed as "supported" ?

Okay, once again I will answer myself.
I got an MBox2 now with Pro Tools LE 7.1 on Windows.

Pro Tools seems to work fine. It can use every MIDI Device that is installed in Windows, so I can use either the MIDI I/O of the MBox2 or of my older Audigy PCI Card (which I prefer due to the much lower MIDI latency and jitter times).
