Default hardware setup preferences with Logic (again)

this should be easy but it doesn't seem to be. I have been previously told on here that the way to get Logic to automatically revert to a saved hardware setup, is to trash the 'digisetup' preference and start again. I have tried this and Logic will still not revert to the saved settings
any suggestions??- thanks

this is the wrong way round, unfortunately. The set up info for your hardware is saved IN the digisetup file. trashing it will give you a default hardware setup. If you still have the old digisetup file, you can revert to your previous setup by dragging it into the prefs folder. If not, you'll have to reset it manually, in the audio hardware dialog of the audio window.

i didnt read your first post !!! so maybe i am saying something similiar youve been told already .
just choose the settings you want to have ( harware , keysettings , channel setup , environment etc. ) and simply save it as f.ex. " autostart X " . anytime you launch logic via the saved " autostart X " file the settings youve choosen appear . dont start logic with the program icon itself . it will always start up with unmodified arrange windows and setups . mayB that helps ???
