BUT to clarify S1 will cost me to upgrade from V4, and my annual PT Ultimate perpetual, with support/updates costs $399 not the $799 for a subscription
And S1 while getting better, still has a ways to go in terms mixing and editing audio.

Unfortunately for me personally the sad news IS---- I have two hardware units a Bricasti M7 reverb and an IGS Tubecore Mastering compressor which are integral in my work flow

AND S1's Pipeline plugin does no work with my Carbon interface ( after several e-mails with Presonus Support ) And they seemed unable to determine why or to give much effort And in the end they seemed willing to simply speculated it is the AVB ethernet connection for Carbon that is the problem and Presonus does not appear to be willing to address it at all .... So I am SOL

Going to port my vepro template over to it tomorrow..
Might be the end of my days with ProTools..

If I worked exclusively with music and not in Post, I would have left PT for S1 and/or Reaper a long time ago.

Same...PT performance with VI's still absolutely sucks in comparison to my other DAW's (Logic and Ableton) on the same Mac. It's still my favorite for mixing though.
