What would you pay for a UAD 1176 HD Plug?

I've been lobbying hard for UAD to come up with a Universal Binary version of the 1176LN PTHD Plug. I know they stopped supporting HD, for a lot of reasons (particularly when Digi offered the inferior Bomb Factory plug for free).

I don't want to get into a discussion of the pros or cons of using a UAD card. This discussion is for those that do not want to go that route.

I'd like to know how many of you would want an updated UAD 1176 LN PTHD plug in and how much you would pay for it. If I hear from enough if you, perhaps I can make a stronger case to UAD.

I'd pay $995.

For $995 you can buy a UAD2 card and several plugins.

There is NO WAY UAD will start coding TDM plugins again. you're flogging a dead horse.

UAD will say their cards and plugins are selling nicely thank you and they are moving forward developing outstanding new plugins like Fatso and the EMT250, why go backwards and code an 1176 when there are loads on the market.

Since UAD pulled out of TDM and the 1176/ LA3A Waves have come along and made their case 10000x stronger.

I love the 1176 and that was the main reason i bought a UAD card, but since that decision they have upped the anti and have become one of the top companies for moving plugin technology forward!!

Not to mention the CLA plugs are out and according to some, better than the UAD. As well they should be, considering the UAD were coded many years ago.

I was bummed for a good long time because of the UA1176 loss, but now Waves CLA76 has replaced it and my sessions are better for it. Give it a shot!

+3 for CLA plugins. I use to own the UA TDM versions and yes, they were the best back then but, when they stopped all of a sudden, supporting TDM plugins then gave us TDM plugin holders a voucher to get their plugins for free but, you had to buy their cards, I was through. So glad I didn't go that route.
If they decided to try at it again, I would not buy their 1176 again. Nor any of the one's that are from the Waves CLA pack as these are great plugins. Don't see them getting any better than that. I would like to have the Cambridge EQ back and I would like to try their Neve stuff but, I wouldn't jump at it. No telling if they would pull the plug again and give us the same outcome again.

My problem is that I have a lot of material I used the UAD 1176 on and if I move on, none of those sessions will come back the same.

Having said that, I'll check out the CLA.
