Default Help! Monitor Path Greyed Out Suddenly

Hey Everyone,

All of a sudden my monitor path has become unusable. I haven;t updated or changed anything and it was working fine a few days ago.

I've tried my HD Omni's settings:

Monitor Path set to stereo with 1&2 selected
That the outputs are set to speaker level
Mixer Window is set up right (I think)

I/O settings
Buss is selected and mapped
Main Out is still grey after restarts

Also, playback engine is fine. I've tried setting it to something else and resetting.

Luckily, PT works fine and my Omni is showing signal on 1&2 and I can monitor by headphones.

Any ideas?

No idea what's happening. Now it's working, but my output selection is still greyed out.

Anyone else having this issue? It could be worse, as it's technically 'resolved' but the tab is still greyed out.

Under the monitor tab you have defined both your Main and Alt monitor outputs as stereo, but have tried to assign three channels as your monitor outputs. I would delete those two "?" for AES 5&6.

Whereabouts are you experiencing the greyed out monitor path? If it is in the I/O tab, it is expected behaviour just to prevent the monitor path being defined twice. It gets defined under the monitor tab, then shared to the I/O tab.

I have never seen those ? appear before. Perhaps it is time to delete those Pro Tools preferences and start from scratch? Usually it would just be a case of setting the speaker format for your monitoring, then dragging the L & R around to the right channels.
