002r + MBox2 on same XP laptop PT 7.0
Hi,
I don't use both interfaces simultaneously (002r for studio and MBox2 for mobile use) so my problem is this: When ever I use one interface eg. 002r in my studio for a session and then later try to run the MBox2 for a little tweaking on the same session when I'm away from the studio (mobile) the session plays back fine except the midi output selectors for the 002r show up in italics and the MBox2 midi output selectors don't show up at all. I have to uninstall/reinstall PT 7.0 and then they show up for the MBox2 all is well. Then if I go back to the studio and use the 002r, the opposlite happens, the MBox2 midi output selectors are in italaics and the 002r midi output selectors don't show up at all. So I have to uninstall/reinsatll PT again! Its like PT recognizes the correct interface but tries to load the midi setup for the previously used interface. Is there a way to configure PT to load the correct midi output selectors for the appropriate interface upon booting up PT or can I manually load the correct midi setup without having to uninstall/reinstall PT. If not, maybe what I need is a Dual Boot, one for the 002r and one for the MBox2. Anyone done this b4? Thanks, Michael Emachines M6811 laptop PT 7.0 External Glyph Firewire drive |
