When can you apply the license? I have auto-renewal active and it says it will auto renew on a certain date. I don't have a link to use my activation code. Will it show up near the expiration date of my current plan? Does it matter that I have auto-renewal active? When I go to deactivate auto renewal I get a scary message about cancelling my plan altogether.

I received the code immediately by email. The instructions they gave weren’t correct. I entered the code in the My Products section then clicking Pro Tools Ultimate opened up and showed I had 53 days left but had a field to enter the code.

Just picked mine up! I still had 80 days left, but I'll grab the savings when I can.

I think if you have auto-renewal active you don’t have the ability to add a code. I’m worried if I turn off auto-renewal that it will cancel my whole license for perpetual. I’m going to ask support before doing it.

No it won't cancel. Mine was set to not auto-renew for the past year and was still active before I entered the code. Now it shows I'm good through December 2023.

Welp. I got conflicting information from Avid support that said because I am on auto-renewal. If I disable auto-renew I won’t be able to use a code from a reseller and if I disable it I won’t be able to renew it at the end of the term. True or not, I don’t have time to figure this out so I’m going to err on the side of caution and just see if Thomann will refund my purchase..

Edit: We’ll see if Thomann has any other information when they reply to me. It seems like this should work but who knows with Avid.

Y'all are tempting me. I'd just have to remember to turn my auto-renewal back on afterwards.

I didn’t turn mine back on. Says “expired card” actually. That’s pathetic that Avid support said that. Have to turn off auto-renew in order for the code entry field to appear.

Plus a million. Never ever had trouble with them.

Yeah, that's weird. I have my account in a similar state-with an expired card. I just want to shop better deals than the full price that Avid charges. I was able to still enter a code in my account even with it looking like it was set-up for AutoRenew. But maybe that is because I had less than a month left to expire. But when you put the code in, it is smart enough to add the year from the expiration, not from the day you enter the code.
