No audio from Eleven Rack in PT

I've seen a couple threads around that talk about hooking up the Eleven Rack to the ProFire610 via SPDIF. Do you have to do that?

The way my system is setup I have a ProFire 610 which is my main interface and my perception was I'd just hook up the 11R to my computer via USB and when I want to record guitar I'd set the input to Eleven L/R and when I want to mic something, I'd set the input to the mic inputs on the 610. Then all audio would route to my monitors through the 610.

Is this not possible? Is this the reason why I can't get any signal to Pro Tools from the 11R?

It may be possible on a Mac using Aggregate, i can't say for sure I don't have a Mac handy to test it on.

But if you are on Windows then No. If your Profire is your interface for PT then no sound from the USB cable of the 11R will make it into PT, you will have to route the sound either with a main out, amp out ect... or preferably SPDIF.

You can still leave the USB cable connected so that the 11R Window in PT is available.
